Hayat Kimya unveils new tissue brands

Anna Okon

Hayat Kimya has introduced two new tissue product brands into the Nigerian market.

The introduction of the brands, Familia and Papia, followed the inauguration of the firm’s $100m diaper factory in Ogun State.

On hand to witness the unveiling of the products were dignitaries from Turkey and Nigeria, such as the Chairman of Hayat Holding, Mr. Yahya Kigili; the Chief Executive Officer of Hayat Kimya, Mr. Avni Kigili; as well as the Ogun State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry,   Bimbo Ashiru; and the Managing Director,  Hayat Kimya Nigeria Limited, Mr. Hakan Misri.

Hayat Kimya, according to a statement by the firm, first introduced its global flagship brand, Molfix diapers, to Nigeria in 2015, adding that with the introduction of Papia and Familia, it now has three products on offer in the country.

The statement also said, “Familia is positioned as a high quality but affordably priced family tissue. It contains no artificial whiteners; is full to the touch and made of 100 per cent pure cellulose.

“The unique composition of Hayat Kimya tissue brands makes them environment-friendly, such that they decompose  when disposed in water.”

The statement  quoted the Marketing Manager of Hayat Kimya Nigeria, Mrs. Roseline Abaraonye, as saying  that in less than two years of  the firm’s presence in Nigeria, it had been able to  attain the number two position in the diaper category with its flagship brand, Molfix diapers.

She attributed the success of the brand to the high and consistent quality of the product, the support of Hayat’s trade partners and Nigerian mums.

She said that Hayat Kimya was counting on the continued support of trade partners and highly valued consumers with the launch of Papia and Familia.

“In return, we will ensure the availability of all our products at very competitive prices and the guaranteed quality that Hayat Kimya’s products are known for,” she said.
