‘Politicians believe more in babalawos than security officers’ – DSS DG Yusuf Bichi

Yusuf Bichi, the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), has revealed that politicians believe more in ‘babalawos’ than security officials.

Bichi stated that state governors, in particular, have little trust in their security officials and more often than not go down the route of seeking out spiritualists or native doctors for protection.

The DG made this known while speaking at the retreat organized for incoming governors by the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF). The retreat was held in Abuja on Monday, April 29th.

Bichi continued saying he does not believe that there is a lack of Intelligence in the country rather he feels there is the lack of will to combat security challenges in the country.

He concluded by saying some of the security challenges in Nigeria comes as a result of the distrust many politicians have of security officials.

I mean come on now! We understand Yemi is in desperate need of a hit since ‘Johnny’ and after her petty attempt at coming for Tiwa Savage, but noh, this was not in the least expected and needed. We are well aware Rick is a great rapper with many hits to his name, but again, the need to have him jump on this song is as unnecessary as the G in sinGinG. Rick was not on beat all through the song making this ill-advised genre mixed collaboration one tragedy! ‘Oh My Gosh’ Yemi, please stop, just stop!

Adekunle Gold and Simi – By your side

Simi recently released a new album titled ‘Omo Charlie Champagne’ which saw her singing on a whole lot of topics to include one with her new husband Adekunle Gold. Now these guys have over the years churned out love songs that sometimes saw them gushing and swooning all over each other, dishing out promissory lyrics that can make any hater love,so imagine our surprise when Simi decided oh, another song from every other song to include ‘Promise’ they released just weeks after their secret wedding, is necessary. We could have comfortably waited for this say in 5 years, not so necessary guys.

Olamide and Davido

Imagine having two great names on one song, you’d expect your mind to be blown yeah? Well, imagine our surprise when all they did was further prove certain collaborations are just a recipe for disaster. Safe from Davido’s shady lyrics employed in the song, it can be said that this record is a catastrophic failure.

Talented Nigerian singer and songwriter, Simi Ogunleye, simply known as ”Simi’ has shared that she is not very good with alcohol. According to the sonorous singer who spoke through her Twitter handle, she said the hard drink exposes her love.

She added that she would always call her husband, Adekunle Gold, and say “I’m tipsy baby. I love you” – whenever she had a drink.

She further shared that she becomes extra lovey with her friends whenever she is a little bit high. she, however, maintained that she hardly drinks off the plane. Amazing isn’t it???

Empire is coming for season 6 but Jussie Smollett not coming

Fox TV series Empire will be back for season six but the sad part is, Jussie Smollett will not be coming back.

This was made known in a statement by the media giant on Tuesday.

“By mutual agreement, the studio has negotiated an extension to Jussie Smollett’s option for season 6, but at this time there are no plans for the character of Jamal to return to ‘Empire.'”

This cannot be unconnected with the ongoing civil case between the actor and the City of Chicago.

Smollett is being sued for the costs of the investigation, wherein the actor was accused of allegedly faking a racist homophobic attack against him.

Are you willing to pay increased taxes – Fashola to those criticising government’s borrowing

Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola has reacted to criticism suffers by the President Muhammadu Buhari’s government over borrowing funds.

The minister while working with journalists in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, asked those who are opposed to borrowing to provide alternative sources for funds.

“Those who say we shouldn’t borrow must have an alternative answer to where we will get the money,” he said.

“Those who don’t support borrowing, are they ready to support increased taxes?”

According to the former Lagos state governor, ongoing projects across the country are slow because of lack of funds.

“Where do we get the money,?” he asked.

“It is not from President Muhammadu Buhari’s salary or the National Assembly’s salary; we are talking about quantifiable, substantial billions of naira that need to be spent to pay.

“That is how you move money around the economy because once you pay the contractors, they order sand, cement, iron rods. They don’t keep all those things. Where the money stops, supply stops.”

Fashola however assured Nigerians of the administration’s commitment to improving lives through infrastructural development.

A former minister for aviation, Femi Fani Kayode, has hailed President Muhammadu Buhari for securing the release of the Nigerian lady, Zainab Aliyu, who was due for execution in Saudi Arabia for a crime she never committed.

The Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) chieftain who spoke through his Twitter handle said Buhari made him proud as a Nigerian by the first time in four years by securing her release.

Aliyu Zainab was found innocent after investigations showed that some drug cartel operating within the Nigerian airport planted the hard drug found on her in her luggage.

Uber Driver Calls Lady He Helped an Ungrateful Person

A Twitter user who drives Uber, identified as @that Uber guy has narrated the ordeal he went through helping a lady he carried.

The Uber driver explained how he returned a lady’s N25,000 and her International passport that has an American Visa after she forgot her purse in his car.

He explained that after returning the purse, the lady gave him N500 as tip. This elicited a sad reaction from the driver and he called the lady an ungrateful person.
