LOKOJA—The Yagba Youths for Change has said it has begun the process of sourcing for a replacement for the member representing them at the House of Representative, Sunday Karimi.

The group, which disclosed this in Lokoja during a lecture to mark Democracy Day, alleged that Karimi’s “laggard attitude” had deprived the people of Yagba constituency the dividends of good representation.

However, Sunday Karimi, dismissed the group as fake and that it was being used by the state government to attack him, following his criticism.

According to him, “there is no group like that as far as Yagbaland is concerned. It is a creation of the state government because its language was the same the government used to attack me while reacting to my interviews about their way of governance.”

But the Coordinator of Yagba Youths for Change, Oludoyi Francis, said: “We have made the mistake of electing a man who has little or no concern for us at the National Assembly.

“He is an analogue representative, who cannot be reached on any social media platform, where constituents can interact with him. How can we relate our concerns to a representative that does not visit home to interface with his people?”
