Eagles star keen on West Ham

Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho is keen on a move to West Ham United, according to his agent, Ninety Minutes reports.

Despite bagging seven goals last season season, the Nigeria international has fallen out of favour with Pep Guardola, and is a confirmed target for the Hammers.

“There has been no agreement between the two clubs at the moment but the deal could yet still happen,” the striker’s agent Olumide Olowu is quoted as saying in an e-mail seen by ClarentandHugh.

“Kelechi is  with the Nigerian squad at the moment and is aware that West Ham are interested in signing him.

“Soon as the clubs have come to agree terms with each other Iheanacho will be happy to accept as long as the contract is up to his standards.”

Iheanacho was thought to have been the subject of a £20m  bid from the Irons at the end of May, but the reports later emerged to be premature.

Although West Ham are understood to have contacted officials at the Etihad Stadium, their attempts to negotiate a price have so far been rebuffed.

It is thought that if boss Slavan Bilic is to get his man then the Irons will need to make a substantial offer, with the possibility of a future buy-back clause.
