Enugu NASSI elects officials

NATIONAL Association of Small Scale Industrialists, NASSI, Enugu State Chapter, has elected a new executive to pilot the affairs of the organisation for the next four years.

Dr. Celestine Asogwa from Nsukka is the new Chairman. He takes over from Comrade Benjamin Udekwe.

The post of Vice Chairman, Production went to Mr. Hippolite Okafor, from Awgu, while Mrs. Ogochukwu Nneji from Nkanu West was elected the Vice Chairman, Development.

Others elected include Fidelis Igbokwe, from Oji River, Vice Chairman, Enterpreneur and Human Resources Development while Cyprain Udeji, Aninri was elected Vice Chairman, Manufacturing.

The post of Vice Chairman, Agro-Allied went to Chief P. C. Nwobu, Oji River. Mr. Augustine Ulodiaku, Igbo-Etiti,emerged Vice Chairman, Services. Mr. Alexander Chukwuegbo, Enugu South, was elected the Treasurer; Mr. Gabriel Okoro, Enugu North, emerged the Public Relations Officer, PRO; Mr. Benjamin Nwogu, Enugu East, emerged the Welfare Officer, while the positions of State Auditor and Legal Adviser went to Arch. M. I. Isiagu, Uzo-Uwani and Barr. U. C Onukwe, Oji River.

In a post election speech, Asogwa thanked members for electing them and said that the trust and confidence reposed in them would not be in vain as the exco would do anything possible to sustain the association.
