Ansaru-ur-deen takes legal action against land trespassers

President of Ansaru-ur-deen Society of Nigeria, Alhaji  Olufemi Okunnu has disclosed plans of the association to take legal action against land trespassers that have encroach on the  society’s  land across the country.

Okunnu added that a local government and about six churches have trespassed  their land in Ansaru-ur-deen Girls High schools, I tire, Surulere , Lagos.

The President expressed dissatisfaction over the force acquisitions of land by the government, saying that most of Ansaru-ur-deen lands  have  been acquired by succesive  governments  in places like Ado-Ekiti, Ota, Oshodi and other parts of the country.

The President however, inaugurated presidential commissions on Lands, Health care and Education, charging them to work assiduously for the benefit of the Society.

Alhaji Okunnu who was accompanied by members of national executives of the society,  said the plan was in order to reposition the association in the field of education, recover its lost lands, and enter a new territory in preparation for new millennium.

He said the  Presidential commission  as an advisory board would help in repositioning the society.

The presidential advisory commission on Education was chaired by Alh. Isa Adedola, while the commissions  on Land and Health were  chaired by Justice A. Olohunibe and Prof. Fatai Mabadeje respectively.

The Advisory commission on Education is saddled with the responsibility of identifying and collating all primary, secondary or tertiary institutions belonging to or owned by Ansaru-ur-deen society of Nigeria since 1923.

Also, the commission is to collate all schools established by the society since 1979 with the mission of achieving uniformity in the administration and funding of the schools across the states.

The Advisory commission on Lands is also saddled the responsibility to determine all landed properties of the registered trustees of Ansaru-ur-deen society of Nigeria in order to determine whether such landed properties or parcels of land so vested are registered in accordance of the law.

Also, the Advisory commission on Health is saddled responsibility to inquire into the existing Health Care Programme on offer to members of Ansaru-ur-deen society of Nigeria.

The Advisory is to make any other recommendations  which it may deem necessary in the circumstances.
